Daniel B. Weintraub, CPA is a partner at LVBW and serves as director of the firm’s accounting and auditing practice. Dan is responsible for the management of the firm’s quality control and attest services to clients, as well as compliance with applicable professional standards. Dan brings over three decades of experience working with a broad background of clients in manufacturing, real estate, construction, distribution, mortgage lending, not-for-profit, and employee benefit plans.

Professional Background

Mr. Weintraub’s area of concentration includes audits, reviews and compilations of financial statements. Additionally, he has also managed gifting strategies for high net worth individuals, enabling highly leveraged wealth transfers to succeeding generations. In July of 2000, Dan and his partners bought the Buffalo office of the national accounting firm, BDO Seidman, to form Lougen, Valenti, Bookbinder & Weintraub LLP.

Education and Associations

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is an active member for the Boards of Independent Health and Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled. He is a member of the Construction Exchange of Buffalo and Western New York, the AICPA’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center, and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) where he serves on the Relations with the Legal Community Committee -Buffalo Chapter.
