Background
Eric is a senior tax manager and has been with the founding partners of the Firm for over 12 years, two as a manager in a national accounting firm (BDO Seidman) prior to the founding of Lougen, Valenti, Bookbinder & Weintraub. He has over 29 years of experience in the field of income tax planning and compliance, as well as business consulting.  He works with a variety of industries including medical practices, real estate, construction, manufacturing, non-profit, and professional services.  He also supervises all Cost Segregation Study engagements.

Practice Areas  
  • Tax planning for partnerships, corporations and individuals, including merger and acquisitions, multi-state issues, international tax strategies and Empire Zone benefit maximization. 
  • Cost Segregation Studies.
 
For the Record
  • Successfully restructured related entities to obtain an additional $80,000 in rehabilitation credits.
  • Negotiated reduction of tax, interest and penalties assessed on a sales tax audit from $140,000 to $70,000.
  • Provided cost segregation services for a  local manufacturing facility segregating 26% of the building costs to shorter lives yielding a net present value of tax savings of $65,000.
